Maddy made sure everything was in order before we arrived at the house and worked quickly to get us back on track to a very relaxing weekend. We will certainly be booking holiday rentals through Ray White Kiama in the future!

We recently rented a holiday home for the long weekend through Ray White. The staff member who assisted us, Maddy, was professional, friendly and helpful. The booking was very last minute, our previous rental through another agency was cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.

You could write on the furniture as the dust was so thick. God knows why we checked in at 2pm. We knew what previous holiday-renters had eaten, as bits of food was found on most dishes and pots.

You could “literally” write in the dust, it was that thick on every surface (check out the photos attached here). Every room was dusty and had been so for a long, long time. Photos show the stereo and some of the shelf surface coated in thick dust, it was like this in most of the house and we did quick clean-ups ourselves just to make it tolerable (as we had pre-booked many activities on the short holiday and had little time to spare).

We will never, ever, ever rent from Ray White Kiama again. The real estate principal was quite alarmed at the photos we showed them when we checked out. Though they quickly then tried to fob it off as the “owners” fault as the owner was responsible for cleaning the place. But real-estate agencies are engaged by owners to list holiday rental properties and to oversee maintenance/strata/etc … and naturally take a fee for the service. If Ray White are willing to put their brand name to a property that they obviously were *not* checking on … then you can't blame the owner. RW should be checking that standards are maintained if they're going to be advertising and making (false) claims about a property on their very own website. No use blaming some unknown/unnamed mysterious owner, especially if you're putting your own name to it and making certain claims about it.

Very disappointed. Just shocking. There's plenty other places to go. Nelson Bay for one. Plenty of clean and genuinely “nicely appointed” places up there for reasonable money.

WARNING: dusty, dirty, dated Bonnyview on Antrim DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE. The Holiday Rental house listed by Ray White Kiama is extremely DIRTY, DUSTY and OUT-DATED. It isn't maintained and properly cared for, so much so that we didn't have hot water in the last couple of days.

They are trying to pass it off as high end but it's a cheap, tight, and budget house.

At $400 bucks a night during Xmas/NY season, you'd think they would have bothered to ensure the place was being maintained. It hadn't been touched in years (dust doesn't start off grey, and doesn't just “peel” off in thick pieces if you've not dusted in a little while … that only happens when you've never touched the place). Cockroaches. Food-encrusted crockery. URINE-smelling en suite. It had the lot.
